reDEW is Swedish denim working to produce a pant you can wear on the trail or in the city without sacrificing comfort, design, or the environment. reDEW has also pledged 25% of its annual profits to support international conservation efforts.
Created using a fabric family called X. X represents 360 stretch, which means that the fabric has elasticity in both directions, both warp (vertical) and weft (horizontal).
Pre-Shrunk: Prevents excessive shrinkage during domestic wash and it also gives a really nice pre-worn feeling.
Implode Surface: This is where reDEW is really unique. Conventional denim washing means weakening the fabric by removing dyestuff and fibers to reach the white core of the yarn and get a vintage look (that's why you also get a worn out effect by wear, as you already know). At reDEW, they turn this process upside down and add an extra layer on top of the fabric instead, which gives the exact same effect, but more permanently. reDEW Implode Surface will stay the way they are for much longer, they will not fade like regular jeans. This technique also saves huge amounts of water, chemicals and energy compared with traditional methods.
All reDEW fabrics only use GOTS Organic Cotton, Recycled Polyester and of course also a bit of Lycra.
Made in Mauritius.
